๐Ÿ‘๏ธ SIGHTINGS LOG

"The mirror is not a window. Windows let light through. The mirror lets something else through."

Recent sightings

[10/28/98] Anonymous :: "Maribel speaks"
I was washing my hands in Room 6 bathroom. The mirror was foggy. I wiped it. My reflection didn't move. It was already facing me. Then it said, in my voice, "I am Maribel. You look like my mom. Please don't leave me here." I screamed. The mirror cracked down the middle. It has been repaired. The crack is still there. Nobody else can see it. I can.
[10/12/98] lunchlady :: "the red dress"
At 12:35 every day, a girl in a red dress sits at the end of the cafeteria. She never eats. She holds a doll with no face. When I tried to throw the doll away, I found my own face inside it. I took it to the principal. He is a ventriloquist dummy now. Not really. But you get the idea.
[09/03/98] nightjanitor :: "the 3rd floor mirrors"
There is no third floor! There IS a third floor. The mirrors there cover an entire wall. My reflection in them is shorter than me by six inches. Every week it gets shorter. I was replaced on Thursday. I am still me. I think. I think. I think.
[08/19/98] momof4 :: "London Bridge"
My twins sing London Bridge in the car. They said a girl at school taught them the song โ€” but backwards. When I asked them to sing it normally, they couldn't. They only know it backwards. They don't remember learning it. ๐Ÿชž

Rules of the Hallway (pass them on)

  1. Reflective surfaces after 3 PM. Don't.
  2. Say "Maribel" once only, to acknowledge her. Never say it twice.
  3. The red dress appears in every yearbook photo from 1966 to 1992. Sometimes she is in the back row. Sometimes she is in front of you, where no one stood. ๐Ÿชž
  4. If your lockermalfunctionswithsmokeandmirrors call maintenance. Actually don't. They know.
  5. Neverhumalong. Never. Ever.
